Frequently Asked Questions

What is "Customized Budget Help"?

It’s a one-on-one consulting service designed to provide personalized guidance for your budgeting and financial organization needs. Unlike a generic online course, this support is tailored specifically to you—whether you're budgeting for personal finances, freelance income, or running a small business.

Who is this service for?

It’s ideal for individuals, families, freelancers, and small business owners who:

  • Are new to budgeting and need a starting point.

  • Have an existing budget but need help refining it or staying consistent.

  • Want guidance on debt reduction.

  • Need help setting up financial tracking systems (e.g., in Airtable, SmartSuite).

  • Are looking for ongoing bookkeeping or review support.

  • Value expert insight and a security-focused financial perspective.

Is this a free course?

The first part of this course - How I Can Help You Budget - is completely free. It lets you explore service options and understand how personalized support works, without any financial commitment. Accessing Part 2 and submitting the Custom Support Form requires a fee, which goes directly toward your first session.

What does the commitment fee for Part 2 cover?

It’s a $100 fee that covers up to two hours of personalized support. It’s credited entirely toward your first consultation or service package, ensuring we’re both invested and ready to focus on your unique financial challenges right from the start.

What are your rates beyond the commitment fee?

My standard rate is $50 per hour for budgeting, financial organization, and support services. Your initial commitment fee is applied toward this rate.

What tools do you work with?

I'm flexible—we’ll use the tools that work best for your workflow and comfort level. That includes:

- Excel or spreadsheet templates
- Budgeting apps (like YNAB)
- Airtable, SmartSuite, or other platforms for integrated tracking

You don’t need to choose ahead of time—we’ll figure out the best fit together.

What if I'm feeling embarrassed or overwhelmed by my finances?

You’re not alone—and there’s zero judgment here. As a Certified Fraud Examiner and former detective, I’ve worked with clients in all kinds of financial situations. My focus is on helping you move forward with confidence. Your information is handled with empathy, confidentiality, and respect.

Are you a CPA, Financial Advisor, or Tax Preparer?

I'm not a CPA, PA, or licensed financial advisor. I specialize in budgeting, financial organization, and basic bookkeeping guidance—not tax prep, auditing, or investment advice.

What I can offer is a layer of security—thanks to my certification as a Fraud Examiner (CFE)—and practical tools to strengthen your financial routines and spot vulnerabilities before they become problems.
